John "Hap" Harris' Obituary
B. John "Hap" Harris, age 61, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his residence following a long battle with cancer. Hap was born in Waupaca on April 6, 1954, the son of the late Earl and Leona (Sheveland) Harris. On September 26, 1981, Hap married Kristy Smith in Waupaca. Hap worked at many area restaurants for many years and also was the owner-operator of H & H Recycling in Waupaca. He had a zest for life and loved spending time with his family.
Hap is survived by his wife: Kristy Harris, Waupaca; his children: Mandy Harris, Waupaca and Jared (Desi) Harris, Omro; his 3 grandchildren: Brayden, Kaylee & Kendell Harris; his brothers: Larry (Donna) Harris, Edgerton, WI and Dennis (Barbara) Harris, Greenville,WI; his father & mother in law: John & Carolyn Smith, Waupaca and his very special pet: Iroc. Hap is also survived by other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry.
A Celebration of Hap's Life will be on Sunday, October 11 at 6 PM at the Waupaca Recreation Center. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the Recreation Center. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Hap's name. Holly Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.
