The night of my Junior Prom, on his own volition, cousin John showed up to take pictures of me. That was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
Loved his laugh and sparkling eyes. It was like all the Hoyord kin. His mother, sister and the aunts and uncles all had that charming laugh.
Praising God that John’s earthly strifes are over and that he is now eternally with his Savior Jesus.

Dad Olson was a rare gem. He was very kind and welcoming; he made you feel part of his family. I recall many years ago when I was visiting his daughter Kirsten, aka "KO" to me, I needed a headlight replaced on my car. He said to me, "Go buy the bulb, I'll put in for you." I said, "Really? That's so nice." He responded, "When you're friends with Kirsten you're part of the family." I will never forget that, and I forever will miss him. Love Naedeen.
John was such a wonderful man. My family and I were always pleased to find him parked at Government Island in his fancy boat so we could chat and have fun. Erika and I got in a couple of snow ditch situations and he drove his open air tractor through literal blizzards to pull us out! What a guy. He will be sorely missed, but memories of him are precious.
