Oh, Julia! I have been looking for you ever since you disappeared from Friendship. Couldn’t find Alex’s or Jacqui’s numbers. Was wanting not to believe you when you said you were going to self-admit somewhere for Alzheimer’s. You were one of the most intelligent, thoughtful, and sweetest people I have ever known. I am so thankful for having had you as a best friend and for all the trips, excursions, conversations, and memories we shared. And now I have found you, too late even to have the privilege of sharing in your transition to the wonderful next plane of existence the way we as nurses helped so many others. I hope to hear from you the way we both knew we could exchange thoughts and greetings between heaven and earth. I know you are being rewarded there for having been the excellent caregiver you were of mother, children, and everyone else. I’m also quite sure John was there to greet you. We have all been blessed to have known you. I am grateful to have had you in my life as best friend and confidant and ask that you will keep watch over me as I know you are doing for all the others in your life.
