Julia R. Buehler's Obituary
Julia Buehler (nee Johansen) died in her sleep peacefully on Apr 6, 2026, at the age of 73, in Chippewa Falls, WI after a battle with Alzheimer's. Julia (Julie) was born in Rivergrove, IL on August 29, 1953. Her family moved to Hoffman Estates and she graduated from J.B. Conant High School in 1971.
On April 20, 1975 she married John Buehler in Reno, Nevada. Julie worked as an RN and case manager in Joliet, IL at Home Health Care and in Waupaca, WI at Bethany Nursing where she retired from in 2016.
Julie loved gardening, playing the piano, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Julie and her late husband John also had a mutual love for camping and country line dancing. Julie was also a member of the St. Olaf Church where she attended Saturday night services and potluck dinners.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Buehler, her parents, Ray and Jewel (Dot) Johansen, her in-laws John (Jack) and Margaret Buehler, and brother-in-law James Buehler.
She is survived by her son, Alex (Leah) Buehler, grandchildren Mataya, Presleigh, Mason, and Max, her daughter, Jacqueline (Shawn) Adams, and her grandson Jack Daniell, honorary daughter Julie Lemmon Brennon, and first cousin Dev Chastain. Also, by her brother-in-law Bob (Janet) Buehler, nieces Nicole (Jeremy) Bailey, Samantha Buehler, and nephew Micheal (Anna) Buehler, along with numerous great nephews and nieces.
There will be a Graveside Service on Friday, April 17th at 11 AM at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. There will also be a celebration of life at a future date. In lieu of flowers please donate to The American Cancer Society at clickhere or to The Alzheimer’s Society clickhere
