Leonard J. Marco, Jr.
King, WI (Formerly of Antigo, WI) Age 82 – died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. He was born on February 27, 1926 in Eagle River, WI, the son of Leonard and Bessie (Drew) Marco, Sr. Leonard is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; Leonard Marco, Sr., his mother and step-father; William and Bessie Martin, three sisters; Helena (Tom) Walenter, Marian (Frank) Rybicki, and Jennie (Cyril) Hartman, and two brothers; David Marco and John (Helen) Marco. Leonard had been employed with a number of different companies throughout his adult life. He had served in the U.S. Army during both WW II and the Korean War. He was an avid Packer, Badger, and NASCAR fan. Leonard became a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in April of 2005, moving from Antigo. A funeral service will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Olson Hall Chapel at King, WI on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:30 PM, with the Reverend Tracy Hamelink, Chaplain, officiating. Interment, along with Military Honors will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. Friends may call at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Olson Hall Chapel on Monday from 12:30 – 1:30 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
