Lynn S. Creamer's Obituary
Lynn Creamer passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, surrounded by her beloved family.
Lynn was born on a farm near Wild Rose, Wisconsin, which is still farmed today by her brother, Mark Handrich. She graduated from Wild Rose High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where she earned a degree in Education.
Lynn met the love of her life, Bill Creamer, and they were married on June 24, 1972. Together, they built a life centered on family, friendship, hard work, and hospitality.
Lynn loved welcoming family and friends to Wisconsin. Bill and Lynn first made their home on Round Lake near Wild Rose before eventually moving to Hancock, Wisconsin, where they lived and developed Greenwood Acres on Fish Lake. Their home was always open to others, and countless family gatherings, holidays, and celebrations were shared there over the years.
Throughout their lives together, Lynn and Bill worked side by side in the operation of both Nordic Mountain in Mount Morris and Greenwood Acres in Hancock. Lynn handled countless aspects of the businesses and was often the glue that kept everything running smoothly. Later in her career, she taught in the Westfield School District, where she formed many lifelong friendships and touched the lives of numerous students and colleagues.
Lynn's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved planning meals, preparing food, and bringing everyone together around the table. Her adored pancakes, strawberry jam, and renowned mashed potatoes became family favorites, enjoyed by generations of family and friends. Preparing meals for those she loved was one of the many ways she showed her care and affection. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people she loved most.
Lynn was beautiful both inside and out. She possessed a kind and caring spirit and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. She spent much of her life caring for others and putting their needs before her own. In her later years, her greatest wish was simply to spend time with family.
Lynn is survived by her daughter, Marnie Creamer; her son, Benjamin (Nichole) Creamer; and their children, Isabelle, Henry, and Charlie. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Handrich; her grandson, Scott (Megan) Creamer and their son, Cayson; her grandchildren, Madeline and Owen Creamer; her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Sonken and Mary Creamer; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlin & Lorraine Handrich; her husband, Bill Creamer; her sons, Brian Creamer and William P. Creamer; her brothers-in-law, Jeremiah Creamer, Terrence Creamer, Daniel (Nora) Creamer, and John (Nancy) Creamer; and her nephews, Thomas Creamer, Michael Creamer, and Scott Sonken.
A Memorial Visitation for Lynn will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Red Fox from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
