Music. Madella at the keyboard at church in Wild Rose, sharing her gift of music with us is what I remember most. She played well with others, from the choir to guest musicians. Everyone received a bright smile and a cheerful greeting. My deepest sympathies to Ken, Stephen, Sandra and grandchildren.

I first met Madella at the Wild Rose Methodist church. I will always remember her beautiful smile and how her smile made her eyes sparkle. Madella was a beautiful lady from the inside out and I will miss her very much. Ken, please know that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts during this sad time.

Met Ken and Madella at the United Methodist church in 1995. Both wonderful people. Madella would always greet me with a smile and warm welcome. Then I used to see her doing election time and the same greeting and asking me how life was going. A wonderful lady who touched my heart in a special way. RIP Madella.

Being the first grandchild I was kind of spoiled by grandma and grandpa both but i quickly became grandmas girl. She taught me how to play board games and cards. And she taught me life lessons and my manners. She introduced me to musicals like Gigi and My Fair Lady. My favorite place in the whole world is Grandma and grandpas cottage on the lake. I will miss her dearly.
I remember growing up my dad Stephen Sommer would take my brother Scott Sommer and I Samantha Sommer to see my grandparents in Wisconsin every year. I'll never forget how tight my grandma would hug my brother & I each time she saw us and each time we had to say goodbye. Ohh how I'm going to miss that lipstick on my cheeks from those kisses she gave me too I loved that women to the moon and back and with all my heart. I don't have a favorite memory because each moment spent with my grandmother were the best times of my life. My grandmother taught me how to cook,she showed me how to play piano even though i would give up she never gave up on me. No matter how many years would go by and I still hasn't made it home for the summer each time I called she made sure I knew how much she loved me. She was the most kind hearted women I've ever met and I'll forever keep a place in my heart for my grandma. I love you grandma Rest in Peace Love Samantha Sommer.
