Nancy Kerr's Obituary
Nancy Kerr, 60, of Waupaca, died from complications due to dementia at Waupaca Elder Care Home, on October 28, 2015. Nancy was born in Stevens Point on May 30, 1955, daughter of the late Wilfred ("Bill") and Irene (Dziekan) Stanke. Nancy graduated from Pacelli High School, Stevens Point. She attended Mid State Technical College, Stevens Point, and Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton. On Thanksgiving Day in 1975, Nancy was united in marriage to Roy J. Kerr.
Nancy enjoyed visiting friends and family, especially her parents. She had a fondness for wildlife and an affection for children, especially her many nieces and nephews. Nancy was well read in many aspects of medical science. Nancy also had a special interest in the world of fashion modeling.
Nancy and Roy, as a couple, enjoyed walking, bicyle riding, playing tennis, and bowling. The two of them loved traveling throughout Wisconsin, California, Utah, New York City, and Washington D.C. The couple visited relatives, museums, state and national parks, zoos, and places to shop.
Nancy is survived by her husband: Roy; three sisters: Susan (Marc) Kramer, of Stevens Point, MaryAnn Allen, of Chula Vista, CA, and Louise (Tom) Newby, of Morrison, CO; and one brother: Richard (Anita) Stanke, of Arlington, VA. She is preceded in death by: her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Holly Funeral Home, 526 S. MAIN. ST, WAUPACA. Relatives and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
