Jo-Ann Dykman
Dear Barb, Al and Julie, Jane called me this morning with the news. We are both shocked and cannot imagine how you 3 feel, especially after Hurst's passing. I had just finished an album of my mother's life and enjoyed the cousins page. Do you have the picture I have of Nonnie and all of us grandchildren? If not, let me know and I can e-mail it to you. Mieke is here for a visit and we had just returned late Sunday night from a 4 day trip to Wisconsin to visit Bob's mom (Madison), Mark, Jane, Matt, Liz and 2 babies (Lake Tomahawk), mom (Rhinelander), Mieke's school chum (Lodi) and then Joe and Terri (Whitefish Bay). I was thinking back on the fun Pete and I had when we were in High School, driving around in his car and causing quite a stir about the "mystery man." Alan I still have the audio tape you made at a Thanksgiving dinner at Nonnies with Gary singing "A Big Fat Turkey on Grandpa's Farm." Barbara, Jane and I still are so grateful of the care and expense you went to reproduce the "blurbs". I found out the word blurbs, means editor's comments. When we read them we are transported back in time. On mother's birthday in June, Jane drove the car while I read the blurbs out loud to her. We all had lot of laughs. Julie, I remember being at your home in Rockford and you standing in the next room while I selected different notes on the piano and you told me precisely which ones they were. I also remember the Wagon Wheel and twirling socks to get them dry! We will keep you in our prayers. Love, Jo-Ann and Bob
