Peter Hurst Gibson
Waupaca, WI Age 63 – died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born on August 26, 1944 in Rolla, MO, the son of Henry and Barbara (Blaine) Gibson. He is survived by his son; Blaine Gibson of Waupaca, his mother; Barbara (Blaine) Gibson of Tucson, AZ, a brother; Alan Blaine Gibson of Harper’s Ferry, WV, and a sister; Julieann Gibson of Tucson, AZ. He is further survived by aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father; Henry Hurst Gibson. Peter had attended UW-Whitewater and received a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics from Milton College. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He had been a member of a Viet Nam Veterans of America-Chapter W10351 of Appleton, WI. Peter had been an over the road truck driver for about 35 years. He most recently had driven truck for the H.O. Wolding Company in Amherst for five years before retiring. A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend Jim Bump, officiating. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. Military Honors will also be observed at the cemetery. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
