Dear Friend Ann - My daughter, Lisa Disher, always has spoken so highly and affectionately of you. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that I am here for you. I don't think our losses are any easier whether we walk a cancer journey as we did - or if our loss is unexpected as yours was. We forever love the angel in our life. It has now been 88 weeks since my beautiful Smitty was called to his heavenly home. I miss him every single day - yet I know - really do know - he is still with me. You will need the next couple weeks to get through so many of the things that this process involves, however, after that, I would love to get together with you. We share a friendship and understanding that few people can relate to one another with otherwise. I have some widowed friends that I hang out with - we go to movies, dinner, weekend getaways, etc. - where we laugh, cry, do fun things, and realize how much we are alike and share and understand where we now are in life.
