Peter G. Rasmussen
Waupaca, WI Age 56 – died on Saturday, October 16, 2010. He was born on March 7, 1954 in New London, WI, the son of Leslie and Phyllis (Simons) Rasmussen. He married Ann LaCombe on June 11, 1994 in Waupaca, WI.
Peter is survived by his wife, Ann, daughter, Anna Rose Rasmussen and son, David Rasmussen, both at home, brothers and sisters; Walter (Lynn) Rasmussen of Plover, Anne Abhold of Waupaca, Matthew (Judy) Rasmussen of Green Bay, Christine (Brian) Sands of Weyauwega, and Lucy Rasmussen of Waupaca. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, Heather Rasmussen, and a brother-in-law, Howard Abhold.
Peter had been employed as a Laboratory Technician with ThyssenKrupp Waupaca Foundry. He had been employed with the Waupaca Foundry for 35 years. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, having served as an Elder, and also as an usher and Sunday school teacher for many years. He enjoyed boating and fishing. He especially enjoyed the time he could spend with his family and was a very loving husband and father.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, with the Reverend Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
