When I was in the first grade Sarah made a beautiful long white dress (I remember how it felt twirling in it) for me as a page to the Almond Junior Prom. Herbert and my dad worked together for Pagel Construction, and all the men's wives were special to the Kleist kids. I remember Sarah teaching my brothers and I in Sunday School at St. John's. Our encounters throughout the years, Sarah and I would check each others ears to see if we were both wearing our Avon Starfish earrings:) Sincerely, Gail Kleist O'Keefe

I loved Sarah. She hired me to map out Avon territories years ago. When she would stop out. I can still hear her laugh in that wholehearted way she had. When Ellen became my Avon rep, I thought 'how cool' she was. Her Avon visit only lasted 10 minutes or so, Sarah's was at least a half hour! I will miss her.
