My family moved to School Street a few years ago, mostly in part to the awfully mean and unfriendly neighbors we had at our previous home. I used to be afraid to go outside at our old house with my children because there was always an issue with me, my animals or my children no matter what we did.... After moving here Ted soon became more than my neighbor. He became my friend, one of my favorite people in the world and one of the biggest reasons I played outside again with my children every day as long as it wasn't too cold! He didn't complain about me,my children or my pets..matter of fact, our cat (well no longer ours,Ted's cat) liked Ted so much too that she just decided not to come home and live over there where he took her in with open arms. He would never take money to even help with her..so I had to force it in the form of fleet gift cards and banana bread! He called me over to the shop this summer and asked me if I wanted this BEAUTIFUL picnic table..I of course said YES, how much do you want for it?! He once again refused to take anything for it and my husband stained it and it has been our absolute favorite place to sit and eat in the summer! I miss Ted..He was more family to me than some blood relatives..His soul was genuine and he frikn rocked! I don't know when I'm going to be able to walk out my door and not cry or tear up looking at the garage he worked in day after day, the yard we had so many chats in..the house of a man who asked nothing of my family and gave so much to it..and he had No idea the happiness and peace he gave me back when we moved next to him...just with his kindness and realness. I will carry a piece of you in my heart forever Ted........until we meet again my Dear friend 💔 Rock on up there!
