Theodore F. Bouressa's Obituary
Theodore “Ted” Francis Bouressa, age 69 of Waupaca, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly November 15 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1949, son of the late Francis Harold and Madeline (Williams) Bouressa. Ted attended St. Mary’s elementary school and St. Xavier high school, graduating in 1967.
He enlisted in the Army and served his country from 1968-1970, he was a veteran of Vietnam. Ted was a strong supporter of veterans and veterans’ causes. He was a member of the VFW. He worked as a lineman for Wisconsin Electric until his retirement. Ted was an enthusiastic Brewers and Packers fan.
Ted had many interests that included photography, fly-fishing, playing banjo and guitar, playing horseshoes, and being a good neighbor and friend. He was a skilled woodworker and spent most of his free time honing his skills in his beloved shop. He created many projects so he could learn new techniques and then gave the finished items away to family, friends, neighbors, and charitable causes to be used for raffles or to raise money for groups. Then he could start something new. Ted had a keen interest in birds and became a licensed bird bander. His birdfeeders were always full.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Bouressa (Leigh-Ann Cherny) of Appleton, son, Adrian of Waupaca; stepson, Kurt Buchholz, and stepdaughter, Heidi Buchholz-Schmidt; brother TK (Vickie); sister, Sandy (Russ)Kamine; three nephews; two nieces; great-nieces; great-nephews; his two cats, Mako and Daisy; a large contingent of friends, and two little girls who called him Papa Ted, Aspen and Elsie Hruby. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Francis; and a niece.
There will be no service for Ted at this time. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. If anyone is inclined to make a memorial, it would have pleased Ted to have them sent to a Veterans’ cause, such as Old Glory Honor Flight, etc.
