William "Bill" Travis Rieser's Obituary
Born July 10, 1928, William “Bill” Travis Rieser passed away on May 9, 2024. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Gretchen, sons William Jr. (Jill), John (Terri), daughters Sarah (Tom) and Jennifer (Steve). Bill has 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. An Attorney in Madison, Bill is remembered for his outstanding service to the community. An avid sailor, Bill competed for many years sailing M-scows on Long Lake, Wisconsin. He also became an accomplished golfer recording 3 holes-in-one. Bill has moved onto the celestial regatta, rounding the first mark, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A special thank you to the staff at ThedaCare clinic and hospital in Waupaca for their outstanding care over the last few months. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
